Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze historically the constitution of science education in Brazil, based on an investigation in the scientific journals of the area. We selected 10 best evaluated journals in Brazil with the intention of analyzing the sayings and writings that appear in the publications of Brazilian researchers who work with education and science teaching. The theoretical and methodological reference is inspired by Michel Foucault and his archaeogenealogy perspective. These problematizations are central to the area studied, as we will be able to observe how the selected Brazilian journals present the science of education and verify the main discussions and standards of science that appear in publications about education.
